Spring in Walla Walla!
experience all the colors of the valley
March to May
the valley bursts into color
Along with bud break in area vineyards, the valley bursts into shades of green in the spring with winter wheat framing the hills along the base of the Blue Mountains, and vineyards and orchards come alive after the winter months. Walla Walla gets a little more “pep in its step” in March with the annual Walla Walla Guitar Festival (March 14-16, 2025) bringing in noteworthy blues musicians performing at a variety of venues in downtown all weekend long.
With longer and warmer days in April and May attention turns to more outdoor activities! Bennington Lake holds two noteworthy events – the Walla Walla Women’s 6-Hour Race (April 12, 2025) and the Onion Man Triathlon (May 18, 2025), one of the first triathlons of the season! And wine is never far from the scene with Spring Kick-off Weekend (April 4-6, 2025) and Spring Release Weekend (May 2-4, 2025), offering wine lovers opportunities to pick-up and sample the newest releases from Valley wineries.
And the colorful Walla Walla Balloon Stampede is in the colorful month of May (May 8-11, 2025), offering shutterbugs noteworthy photos of bright balloons dotting the sky.

March is for jamming in Walla Walla
March 14-16, 2025
