Summer in Walla Walla!

June to August
Music, Movies & wine
Magnificent sunsets grace the skies throughout the summer, providing a colorful backdrop to the many musical experiences in the Valley. From the nearly month-long Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival in June (running June 4-27, 2026) to the weekly performances in wineries and new Heritage Square, as well as epic concerts, the hills (and streets and barrel rooms and driving ranges) come alive with music.
For those who may rather have a seat in an air-conditioned theater, they may experience an “intoxicating” blend of short films at Walla Walla Movie Crush (July 10-12, 2026). And for those seeking the sound of wine bottles opening, they can immerse themselves in social and educational wine festivities at Celebrate Walla Walla Valley Wine (June 19-20, 2026) and at the Blood of Gods event (July 17-19, 2026), a wine meets rock’n’roll and pop art experience.
Summer fun is punctuated by Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days (September 2-6, 2026), Washington State’s oldest fair! This annual event features headline bands – in 2025, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Foreigner will play – as well as fun and family-friendly activities like demolition derbies, carnival rides, and three nights of the PRCA rodeo.

Showcasing the best American short films of the past year, Walla Walla Movie Crush is a weekend long program broken into one-hour thematic blocks; each block may contain a blend of narratives, documentaries, animation, music videos, and more.
