Wheelin’ Walla Walla Weekend

Buckle up for 2023!

Wheelin’ Walla Walla, presented by the Downtown Walla Walla Foundation, is more than just downtown Walla Walla’s annual classic car show… it’s a Southeast Washington tradition. This year’s festivities will take place September 8 & 9, and you’ll see more than 400 classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles on display throughout downtown Walla Walla on Main Street. New this year will be “Motorcycle Alley.” So now you’ll be able to enjoy all the motorcycles in one beautiful line-up.

Wheelin’ Walla Walla Weekend kicks off with the popular Friday Night Cruise from 6-7 pm. On Saturday, return to charming downtown Walla Walla for the Show n’ Shine all day from 9 am to 3 pm, followed by the Awards Ceremony where over 100 trophies will be handed out, including Best of Show, Participants Choice, the Neal Larson Memorial Award, and the brand new Best Bike in Show award. The fun ends with LIVE music at Heritage Park.

Friday, September 8th

This event starts off with the Friday Night Cruise from 6 pm – 7 pm. Classic cars roll through town for you to watch and soak in all that beautiful engineering. The route is a little different this year, we are including a drive through Wheatland Village Retirement Center for their residents to get to enjoy all the beautiful vehicles that participate in this event. To get the map so you know where to park your lawn chair, check the Downtown Walla Walla Foundation website.

Saturday, September 9th

The Show ‘n Shine classic car event begins at 9 am and goes until 3pm. Take a stroll down Main Street where over 400 cars, trucks and motorcycles will be on display from Park to Sixth Street.

Activities (other than looking at all the fabulous cars, trucks, and motorcycles) include a Raffle, 50/50 Poker Walk, food vendors, and live music presented by 104.5 BOB FM. Buy your Raffle Tickets at First & Main. All proceeds from the raffle go to the Neal Larson Memorial Automotive Scholarship at Walla Walla Community College. Check winning numbers on the whiteboard at First & Main after 2pm.

An awards ceremony caps off this family-friendly event from 3 pm – 4:30 pm on First and Main. There will be prizes for Best of Show, Neal Larson Memorial Award, and Participant’s Choice.

Saturday from 4-10pm you can enjoy a whole new kind of car fun at the Walla Walla Drag Strip. There will be heads up no prep drag racing, street legal/run what you brung racing, and short course drifting. This event is open to all. For more info go to https://wwdragstrip.com/.

Saturday night there will be amazing LIVE Music at Heritage Park. The line-up is The Diego Romero Band performing from 4:30- 6:30 pm and The Wasteland Kings from 7:30- 9:30 pm.

Saturday, September 9 is also Adam West Day in Walla Walla. Help us pay tribute to our friend Johnny Green, best-known for appearing on the 1960s television series “Batman.” Come out and see the Batmobile, the Bat helicopter, and the Bat cycle.
