Rooted in the principle that great wine comes from a great location, Capital Call Vintners embodies the various forms of capital—knowledge, effort, relationships, time, and money—needed to craft exceptional wine. Capital Call Vintners began in 2016 when Steve Bruere, an agricultural real estate professional, and Alan Busacca, a renowned viticulture expert known widely as “Doctor Dirt,” met by chance while collaborating on a large agricultural project outside Walla Walla. Their shared passion for land and a commitment to producing fine wine quickly forged a strong friendship. Today, their estate vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley and Columbia Gorge focus on creating robust reds crafted by celebrated winemaker Josh Maloney.
