The Mercer family has been on the same land in the Horse Heaven Hills of Washington state since 1886. In 1972, Don and Linda Mercer planted the very first grapes (Cabernet Sauvignon) in the Horse Heaven Hills, leading the way for the region to become an AVA. Today, the winery is still family-owned and operated by the fourth and fifth generations, making world-class wines and leaving the land better than they found it.
