Abeja Winery
Surrounded by golden wheat fields and the foothills of the Blue Mountains, Abeja is home to a celebrated Walla Walla winery, an idyllic country inn, and fine dining at The Kitchen at Abeja. Estate vineyards, creeks, gardens, lavender fields, and panoramic views provide a serene setting for tasting in the heart of wine country. Tastings are limited and available by appointment only.
Abeja offers a Traditional Tasting year-round in the winery’s historical Small Barn, where guests enjoy a selection of current-release wines from the Beekeeper and Columbia Valley collections. As weather allows, tastings are conducted outdoors on a beautiful patio offering a panoramic view of the Blue Mountains. In the spring, summer, and fall, Abeja provides the option of an Estate Experience. The visit includes a walking tour of the property, followed by a seated tasting flight with a curated selection of limited wines from Abeja’s estate vineyards and library collection. A selection of small bites prepared by The Kitchen at Abeja’s executive chef Jake Crenshaw completes the experience.
Husband and wife winemakers Dan Wampfler and Amy Alvarez-Wampfler craft Abeja’s wines as a companion to food. The wines are styled for balance with a solid framework of tannin and acidity that is filled with pure, lush fruit, a rich mid-palate, integrated oak, and a generous finish.
