Antique Shopping and Thrifting in Walla Walla: The Best Spots to Shop

The thrill of the hunt for one-of-a-kind finds is a great way to spend an afternoon in Walla Walla. Whatever your taste, you’ll find everything in plenty here, from art and prints, vinyl records, vintage clothing, and jewelry, to housewares, furniture, yard art, and more. Here are a few locales to visit for a day of treasure hunting in and around town.

Country Store with sign

Country Store Consignment & Antique Mall: Set aside a few hours to stroll the many aisles and browse the stalls of this sprawling, two-floor antique mall on the east side, once a beloved local department store. Whatever you’re looking for: vintage cocktail glasses, cowboy boots, original art, mid century kitchenware, pottery—you’ll likely find it, usually and then some. If you’re in a hurry, ask the friendly front desk staff where to find what you’re looking for, and they’ll point you in the right direction.

2205 E. Isaacs Ave. | 509-525-8500 | Tuesday–Saturday, 10–5pm

Goodwill exterior entrance

Goodwill: You’ll have to trek all the way one town over to visit this thrifting standard bearer—but don’t worry, College Place is only a five minute drive down Rose street. What’s your picking passion—clothing, vintage furniture, housewares? You’ll find it all here, along with the national nonprofit’s famous daily sales and other seasonal specials.

1017 N.E. C St, College Place | 509-525-5992 | Open daily, 9–8pm

Klickers Berries & Antiques - exterior

Klicker Berries & Antiques: While this 107-year-old local strawberry institution has sold its last crop of strawberries, the name of the store remains, along with its charming farm and antique store. Enter the store and find produce, cheese, and shelf stable canned and pickled items on the left; turn right for the kind of finds you’d see at a farm estate sale: old oak furniture, vintage kitchen scales, framed oil paintings, glass carboys and the like. A collection of vintage-inspired (but new) country chic tea towels, candles, and other home accessories is curated throughout, keeping things fresh.

3300 Isaacs Ave | 509-525-8650 | Open daily, 9–6pm until annual seasonal closure on Dec. 24th, reopening the following May.

Shady Lawn Antiques - exterior

Shady Lawn Antiques: This former creamery, a building from 1897 that is still in the same family running the business, is as much a museum as an antique store: old milk canisters, photos, and other memorabilia from its time as a dairy are scattered among a fine assortment of antiques. Old oak is a specialty—Shady Lawn specializes in refinishing and restoring furniture—but you’ll find everything from primitive kitchen decor, crockery, art objects, lighting, linens, produce boxes, and so much more.

711 N. Rose St. | 509-529-2123 | Wednesday–Saturday, 10–5pm

Tra Vigne exterior

Tra Vigne: It’s Italian for “among vineyards,” but inside this bigger-than-it-looks antique center, you’ll be among rows of a different sort. Shelves of collectibles of every kind invite you to wander, linger, and explore further down the aisles. Here you’ll find vintage clothing and jewelry, original art and woodwork, furniture, decor, housewares, and more. You might even spy vintner, actor, and treasure hunter Kyle MacLachlan of nearby tasting room Pursued by Bear, who’s been spotted here, along with many of the shops on this list.

115 E. Main St. | 509-730-0845 | Open Sunday and Monday, 10–3pm, closed Tuesday, Wednesday–Saturday, 10–5pm

Tricycled Treasures exterior

Tricycled Treasures: In the market for an antique set of repurposed garden gates from India, primitive farmhouse yard art, antique riding tack, or a southwestern-style boho jacket? There’s lots to peruse at this thrift store just down the road from Burwood Brewing in the Airport District. Just make sure to time your visit—this tucked away treasure trove is only open on Fridays and Saturdays.

925 E St. | 509-301-5196 | Friday and Saturday, 10:30–5:00pm, or by appointment

WW Antique Mall - exterior

Walla Walla Antique Mall: When you think of “antique mall,” it’s a place like the Walla Walla Antique Mall that comes to mind: Cases of costume jewelry, collections of grandmother’s china, art, books, garden tools, and every manner of must-haves from yesteryear crammed, collected, and sometimes very nicely curated by an assortment of vendors throughout an expansive showroom spanning 5,000 feet. For dyed-in-the-wool thrifters, it’s happy hunting here.

315 S. 9th Ave. | 509-529-0677 | Tuesday–Saturday, 10–4pm

Yeehaw Aloha exterior

YeeHaw Aloha: You can’t miss this funky storefront in the Eastgate neighborhood on Isaacs Ave: it has everything from surfboards and sign lettering to actual furniture attached to it. How can a thrifter resist? Don’t try, just give in and go in—this faith-based thrift shop donates a portion of its proceeds to local nonprofits and is also a youth development center and first job for many young people. Its quirky personality is part of its charm.
