Our calendar is dotted with extra-special excuses to visit, from Walla Walla Restaurant Month in the February to the Balloon Stampede in the spring, Wheelin’ Walla Walla Weekend in the fall (September 6-7, 2024) and Walla Walla Movie Crush in the summer (July 11-13, 2025), and wine tasting weekends throughout the year. Hot Air Balloons above Walla Walla
Balloon Stampede
You haven’t experienced the full glory of a morning sunrise until you’ve been out at dawn surrounded by a couple dozen inflating hot air balloons as they prep for takeoff. This is the wakeup call of the Walla Walla Balloon Stampede, which comes to Howard Tietan Park each May.
