Located on Main Street in the Heart of Walla Walla, AK’s Mercado is the gathering spot for locals, winemakers, and tourists. With a full outdoor patio area or cozy lounge atmosphere, we have it all and plenty of seating in-between. Established in 2021, AK’s Mercado came to fruition after Chef Andrae Bopp’s travels to areas south of the border (Mexico and Central America), as well as his love of New Orleans. Tacos and smoked meats will is the focus of AK’s Mercado along with a selection of other street foods. In addition to Chef Bopp’s award-winning food, AK’s Mercado will feature a market highlighting items from many local artisans and vendors. Open 7 days a week, AK’s Mercado offers an extensive breakfast with many items to satisfy all types of appetites, and a full lunch and dinner menu. Local cocktail legend Jim German spearheads the cocktail program that will feature frozen/slush drinks as well as canned to-go cocktails. The beer program will feature our own house brew, AK’s Mercado Lager, brewed with the same corn that we use to make our fresh tortillas every day.
