Whether your visit is a foodie foray, job-related jaunt or a relaxing respite, Courtyard by Marriott Walla Walla serves up space, menus and amenities to meet every need imaginable for your trip.
Located just west of the downtown Walla Walla gateway on Rose Street, its location is perfect for walking to performances at the Gesa Power House Theatre, along with tasting rooms and restaurants. It’s also situated for an easy drive in just about any direction — toward the Walla Walla Regional Airport, Southside wineries or to U.S. Highway 12.
Skip the line at the front desk, if you’d prefer, and access mobile check-in and key options for immediate access to your room or dinner at the on-site bistro, or to arrive in town and go straight to the golf course or bike trails. Then be prepared to enjoy such conveniences during your stay, including a quick print boarding pass station, complimentary Wi-Fi and business center services.

The hotel site is on an expansive property that for decades was part of the booming food processing industry for Walla Walla’s agricultural employment. The corner of Ninth Avenue and Rose Street was home to a 200,000-square-foot canning operation for the region’s renowned peas, corn and asparagus. It was the last of its kind to close when it shut down in 2004.
The subsequent redevelopment made history again with Courtyard by Marriott. Not only was Walla Walla home to the 1,000th hotel in the chain, it was also the smallest metropolitan area in the Pacific Northwest to have the hotel brand when the doors opened in 2015.

Guests walk into the check-in area and expansive lobby. Adorned with local art, the space provides seating zones, ranging from casual social gathering spaces and intimate tall-back couches to a business center workstation and private seating area tucked around a corner. Enjoy complimentary wine pours Fridays, 3-5 p.m.
Adjacent to the front desk is The Market, stocked with fruit, snack foods, a microwave for heating meals, wine, and refrigerated drinks — soda, seltzer, beer. Necessities from pain reliever to deodorant are also available.

Step beyond the lobby and a dividing wall to enter The Bistro and dining space. Start mornings with Starbucks coffee drinks and breakfast. In the evening, enjoy a full bar and dinner with quarterly menu changes to highlight local seasonal ingredients. The space is open for guests, as well as community members. Seating ranges from two-top tables or fireside seating to a grand spread in the middle of the room for gathering guests. Intimate wrap-around booths offer more privacy and include television screens.

Around the corner, an exhibition kitchen holds possibilities for chef’s table dinners with seating for eight, banquet-style winemaker dinners for about 20 and cooking demonstration events. Nearby nearly 3,000 square feet of meeting space includes two event and three breakout rooms. The hotel also has executive boardroom space for 12 that opens to the courtyard. And if you happen to have multiple meetings that require professional attire, a dry cleaning service is offered.

The hotel includes 120 rooms spread among three floors. Among them are eight suites, king rooms with sleeper sofas and double queen rooms. All are appointed with refrigerators, television sets, microwaves, Keurig coffee machines and mobile desks. Half the rooms have tubs and half have walk-in showers.

The hotel fitness center is equipped with recumbent bike, elliptical trainer, treadmills, free weights and benches to optimize workouts on the road. After pumping iron, spend the evening relaxing on the back patio under a pergola illuminated by strings of lights and warmed by a fireplace. End the night with a soak in the outdoor spa or a dip in the indoor heated pool before retiring to bed.

Whether buckling down for work or exploring wine country, Courtyard by Marriott offers an inviting atmosphere from sunrise to sundown.
