Burwood Brewing is a Haven for Beer Lovers!

Burwood Brewing Company poured their first beer in 2014 and they’ve been serving the Walla Walla Valley delicious brews ever since. Located in the Airport District, this family-friendly brewery is just a few minutes away from downtown Walla Walla and offers incredible views of the Blue Mountains to enjoy with your cold beer(s). Here, you’ll find 14 different brews on tap, as well as a house-made root beer for the little ones and a Passion Fruit + Orange + Guava hard seltzer (perfect for summertime sipping).

Owner/Operators David Marshall and his wife Jennifer both come from an impressive beer background. David has been homebrewing since he was 19 years old, and the two met when they were both working for Pyramid Brewing in Seattle (where David was serving as Master Brewer). He now serves as the Master Brewer of his own powerhouse brewery, while Jennifer runs the front of the house and handles all the sales and marketing. They put their heart and soul into the business and the beer here (and it shows). “Burwood is a true public house,” says Jennifer. “It’s an extension of our home.”

Burwood is buzzing with different activities, making it a popular gathering spot for local and visiting beer lovers. Looking for a  fun way to pass the evening with friends? Burwood offers trivia night every Thursday (and it’s very popular). Assemble your team for some beers and test your knowledge! Visit their website for a full list of current events.

While there’s not a kitchen in the facility, food trucks are on site regularly at Burwood Wednesday through Saturday. The Where There’s Food Eat It truck is a fan favorite and features smoked meats, nachos, mac and cheese, pho, and more mouthwatering goodness to curb your hunger.

Wednesday Night is Burger and a Beer Night at Burwood – and it’s popular among visitors and locals alike. Enjoy any beer on tap and the Where There’s Food Eat It smash burger for just $14! It’s a steal of a deal! There are over a dozen beers on tap to choose from, but we’re partial to the Pilsner, which is their flagship brew.

Hail the smash burger in all of her glory! It comes complete with melty American cheese, an oversized beef patty, lettuce, and their bomb Nay sauce on a Truck Bun (owner Nathan’s own special recipe made by local John’s Wheatland Barkery). What’s Nay sauce you ask? Mayo, ketchup, and spicy mustard (and it’s delicious).

Speaking of food trucks, Burwood hosts a Summer Fest monthly from May through September, and this delicious event brings in heaps of local food trucks and hungry crowds (they’ve had as many as 3,000 attendees in years past)! If you’re visiting in the warmer months, this is the perfect event to drink local beer and try multiple local eateries at once! Formerly Food Truck Night, this event features 15+ food trucks, local artisans, live music, and more!

While Summer Fest is not a dog-friendly event, the brewery “backyard” is very dog friendly any other time! If you’re traveling with your pup, this is a perfect stop for some sunshine and beer.
