Downtown Walla Walla Patios to Sip and Savor On

The Walla Walla Valley is blessed with many months of sunshine – and we’ve got the patios to prove it! A stroll through downtown (which is frequently voted one of the best in America) is a perfectly charming way to spend a morning or afternoon, and there are plenty of places to stop for a cocktail or meal and people-watch while soaking in the sun. If you’re looking to dine al fresco, this guide has you covered!

AK’s Mercado: Come for the tacos, and stay for the boozy slushies (trust us). This downtown favorite offers an extensive mezcal collection, handmade tortillas, and a great plate of nachos. AK’s Mercado does not take reservations.

Bacon & Eggs: A homestyle breakfast place that’s loved by locals just as much as tourists, Bacon & Eggs cannot be missed and offers a great sidewalk patio for outdoor dining. The breakfast cocktails are a major hit, but don’t let that fool you – it’s also very family friendly. Make a reservation by calling 509-876-4553.

Big House Brew Pub: Here’s one for the beer lovers! Big House Brew Pub has a sprawling patio to relax on while you enjoy their brews and one of their delicious burgers. Make a reservation by calling 509-522-2440.

This family-friendly tap room has a large patio with misters to keep you cool in the summertime! Reservations can be made here.

Graze + Pine Cone Creamery: Some of the best street art in Walla Walla is the mural on the wall of the patio that Graze and Pine Cone Creamery share. Both businesses are casual, family-owned, and absolutely delicious. Graze is your go-to for bomb sandwiches and fresh salads, and Pine Cone has you covered for dessert with one of their delicious small-batch, hand-made ice creams. No reservations.

Hattaway’s on Alder: If you’re looking for a little southern comfort, you’ll find it at Hattaway’s. The pimento cheese has been a favorite since they opened their doors in 2018 (we also highly recommend the fried chicken). Reservations are highly recommended and can be made here.

Maple Counter: Maple Counter is the place to be for stacks of fluffy pancakes and delicious, oversized omelets. They serve breakfast and lunch, and everything is made from scratch. They also have a darling waffle food truck next door, should the mood strike you. No reservations.
